I do not really even drink coffee, but their was something about the vibe and look of this place that I had to go and check it out. It was very cool and it marked the first time that I did not need sweetner in my espresso (they do not offfer sweetner – so don’t ask). If your downtown head over to Handsome Coffee Roasters, it is definitely worth the trip. This video will give you a taste of what to expect – Co-founder of Handsome Coffee Roasters Tyler J. Wells  expresses himself in caffeine doses as he talks about the bizarre road that the coffee business boasts — with no road map or distinct path to follow. With no tricks up his sleeve, the Handsome Coffee Roasters’ approach to the morning staple pays homage to techniques and homegrown products that result in a zip of energy.

Some things are so off the charts  you have to see it to believe it. What started as an experimental project for Yves Ross “Jetman”, has now made him the only human being to actualize flight with a jet-propelled wing. With countless hours invested in body control training and 10 years of prototype development, Jetman shows off some jaw-dropping maneuvers while sustaining flight for over 10 minutes at a time. He is flying over parts of Switzerland.

Small cruiser boards are the best and Spain’s Nomad Skateboards is taking it back with their “VERY OLD SCHOOL” Cruisers. Love the black and white film to go with it – very retro.

Women always come to the shop and ask us why theirs clothes are not more like our mens product, in terms of  details and structure, ie shirting, blazers etc.. Well thanks to Nili Lotan we have been able to bridge that divide and bring women feminine pieces that are cut and shaped for their bodies, while still having a slightly tomboy or masculine inspiration within the designs. Nili, whom we were able to meet recently is a wonderful designer that pours her passion into each piece of her collection – from the ultra soft hand of her shirting to the perfection of her relaxed blazer and stretch denim jeans. Sexy with an oliver twist - Nili Lotan Sp12. Shop favorite - the relaxed Italian Linen Hook Front Blazer. Click through . Give a Call . Canvas 310.317.9895

We have been buying Rogan NYC for women for years, so we decided to bring in the mens collection for sp12. We couldn’t be happier as the pieces are cool (Vorian Polyfill Jacket), the fabrics are interesting - recycled cotton hoodies (Faykan Hooded Sweatshirt) and sweaters (Gaius Sweatshirt). They even got me to like and buy a henley (Chatt Henley) and the Dune cropped pant is off the chain. Click through . Give a Call . Canvas 310.317.9895

Damien Hirst is intriguing. Just when I think I am over this guy he finds a way to get me interested again and this video definitely has pulled me back in. Anytime you can have an artist walk you through their work, I think your perspective on them and the work changes – sometimes for better , sometimes for the worst - in this case for me it was for the better. This is a great video of the new Damien Hirst Retrospective exhibition currently on show at the Tate Modern in London. Hirst walks through with curator Ann Gallagher.
