Converse and Missoni link up for two new Fall 2010 styles.  Two new updated versions of the classic Chuck Taylor All Star shoe with black and white space dyed knits covering the sides and toecap, finished off with soft sheep leather in “Missoni Brick Red” on the split tongue, heel pull tab and partially lined collar . Due to the unique space dyed technique used this season, each shoe is one of a kind as the knits are carefully spun to vary from piece to piece.

Part of Converse First String, the brand’s most premium tier product program, the collaboration uses the exclusive-to-First String version of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette originally created for the military in the 1960s. This season, two patterns round out the Fall offering; one being a single bed space dyed knit displaying bold horizontal stripes(men’s sizing only), while the other silhouette is outfitted in the notorious Missoni zigzag pattern(women’s sizing only), created by a unique technique called Raschel revived by the Missoni house in the late ‘60s for high-end fashion.

Along with our CANVAS Custom sunnies we just received the very exclusive MOSLEY TRIBES collaboration with LA based menswear luxury label Native Son.  MT and NS reinterpreted the staple MT style “Lyndel” (my favorite frame of 2010) and used a matte tungsten acetate that was hand molded and is also translucent, it also features quadrilateral gunmetal inlay on the frame front. There baaacckk!!! With the summer sun high in the sky, Canvas courtesy of Mosley tribes has released a new batch of shades for the season, all with individually custom lens colors. Some classic store favorites like the Lyndels are back in black and tortoise along with the introduction of a few new shapes the Hillyard and the Patterson (womens frame).

Experimenting with darker lens colors we have created a deep deep red/black (not for the faint of eye) and deep blue/black lens that put the dark back into the idea of dark glasses.
