Michael Williams of A Continuous Lean is arguably one of the most distinctive fashion personalities on the web and it’s his astute prowess for projects such as these that have garnered him such a fine reputation. Having been personally involved in one of the company’s projects himself – the 721LTD project, wherein the 721LTD is reference to the imprint on the original Wolverine 1000 Miles – Williams got to experience first hand the dedication and hard labour that goes into manufacturing a pair of the brand’s most prized boot. And now, he’d like us to witness the process for ourselves. This video, directed by Sean Sullivan, takes us behind the scenes to the Horween Leather Company in Chicago where cordovan undergoes a rigorous amount of tanning, dyeing and polishing before it can become pliable enough for boot production.
