On November 6, 2008, Betten held an art opening and sale in his West Chelsea loft that was so well received, most of his 40 paintings sold within an hour of opening doors.  Though Betten has been painting for years, this show, entitled Continuous Line, was the first to be presented to the public. The end result was a show that served to thrust the name Jordan Betten into the limelight.  It was hosted by Amy Sacco and Anna Sui who were no doubt proud of their ability to pluck true talent from the masses
